How much does it cost to send a parcel in the UK?

Most UK parcels cost between £3 and £10 to ship. Here's what you actually pay in 2026, by weight band and speed.

UK parcel prices by weight (2026)

Under 1 kg: £3.29–£4.49 with Royal Mail Tracked 48, ~£3.50 with Evri drop-off.

1–2 kg: £4.29–£5.99 with most economy couriers.

2–5 kg: £5.50–£8.50.

5–15 kg: £7.50–£12.50 with DPD or Parcelforce.

15 kg+: £15 and up — at this point a dedicated driver is often cheaper than splitting into two parcels.

What pushes the price up

Volumetric weight, length over 120 cm, declared value over £150 (extra insurance), Saturday delivery, and remote postcodes in the Highlands, Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands.

When a dedicated driver is cheaper

If your parcel is fragile, oversized, or you need it the same day, Wayspost drivers undercut white-glove couriers because they're already heading that direction. Typical city-to-city dedicated quotes:

Birmingham → Manchester from £48.70, Bristol → London from £65.20, London → Brighton from £33.85.
